Edward M. Allen
Edward M. Allen is a director and shareholder of the firm. Ed is the current chair of the firm's litigation department, and concentrates his practice on commercial and general civil litigation. After clerking for the Honorable Michael J. Watanabe, he began representing individuals and companies in a wide variety of matters, including construction defects, premise liability, municipal liability, and products liability. Although he remains active in several of these practice areas, he now places a greater emphasis on commercial disputes, professional liability and construction litigation. Ed has considerable trial and alternative dispute resolution experience and has served as a panel arbitrator in several insurance related matters. In the construction arena, he has represented owners, general contractors, sureties, subcontractors, material suppliers and other vendors in a wide variety of matters. Ed has authored and co-authored construction law articles, and has presented seminars on personal and commercial general liability claims.
