Hennessey Receives Don Sears Award
Richard F. Hennessey received the Don Sears Award from the Ethics Committee of the Colorado Bar Association on Saturday, June 16, 2007. The Award is in memory of Don Sears, who was a Professor of Legal Ehics at the University of Colorado School of Law and a long-time member of the Ethics Committee. The Award is given to the member of the CBA "who has given tirelessly to the ethical enhancement of the legal profession in Colorado". The Award was presented by Lance Sears, Don's son, former president of the CTLA and long-time member of the Ethics Committee.

Hargleroad and Haas named CTLA "Case of the Year" Finalists
John Haas and Susan Hargleroad were honored as finalists by the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association for its Case of the Year Award in recognition of their $4.8 million jury verdict in Ho Thu Thi, et al. v. Le Cuong Kim, et al. The case, based on claims of clergy sexual fondling, defamation, breach of fiduciary duty and outrageous conduct, was the third largest jury verdict in the State of Colorado in 2003.
